An amazing trek Dayar Bugyal Trek

The Pindari Glacier's Zero Point is located 5 kilometres ahead of Phurkia at a breathtaking altitude of 12370 feet above sea level. The Pindari Glacier is located in the Kumaon Himalayas, in the Bageshwar district. The glacier flows south for about 9 kilometres, giving rise to the Pindari River, which meets the Alakananda River at Karnaprayag in the Garhwal district.

For many years, the area has provided the best bait in the form of retreats to adventure seekers, to which no trekker on this planet can say no. The trek to Pindari Glacier is one such trekking trail that will take you through spectacular landscapes, snow-clad glaciers, and far-flung villages of the Kumaon region that you may have only seen in fairy tales and will stay with you for the rest of your life!

The Pindari Glacier is located to the southeast of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot. The glacier flows south for about 3 kilometres, eventually giving rise to the Pindari River, which meets the Alakananda at Karnaprayag in the Garhwal district. The trail to the Pindari glacier passes through the villages of Saung and Loharkhet before crossing the Dhakuri Pass and continuing on to Khati village (the last inhabited village on the trail), Dwali, Phurkia, and finally ending at the Zero Point, Pindar.

The views from the Dhakri Khal pass are particularly impressive, with many snow-capped peaks forming the southern rim of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary visible. Beautiful and calm lakes with crystal clear waters, snow-capped mountain peaks, and charming wooden bridges all contribute to a magical and exhilarating experience on this trek!

Though the majority of the trail follows the Pindari River, the river appears to be mostly hidden until after Khati. Apart from trekking, Pindari Glacier is also known for other adventure sports such as ice climbing and mountain biking. The Pindari Glacier trek is beautiful enough to capture any traveller’s heart and soul. The Pindari glacier exists because of the massive amounts of snow that fall from the surrounding summits of the Greater Himalayan range. Do the locals refer to it as the? Soul of Kumaon.?

The best part about the Pindari Glacier trekking trail is that it does not test your endurance at every level; in fact, it is mostly smooth. However, don't expect it to be a walk in the park because the level of difficulty can sometimes be so high that trekkers are forced to leave their comfort zone. The trail becomes difficult as it crosses mountain ridges, spider walls, and streams. However, the unearthly beauty of the final point, or Zero Point, will make you forget about all your difficulties.

The Pindari Glacier Trek begins in Loharkhet at 1,760 metres and ends in Dhakuri at 2,680 metres, a 10-kilometre trail. The trail continues from Dhakuri to Khati, which is located at an elevation of 2,210 metres and passes through a vast forest, before continuing along with the River Pindar to Dwali, which is located at 2,575 metres. The path continues to Dwali, where it splits to Phurkia and ascends to the Pindari Glacier, which serves as the Zero Point. The presence of a beautiful waterfall just before Phurkia, where you can rest for a while, adds to the beauty of this location. The descent from Zero Point to Loharkhet follows the same trekking path, passing through villages, meadows, and forests.

'Mountain of the Serpent', The Nag Tibba trek

Your trek to the Pindari Glacier, a Himalayan storehouse, begins in Loharkhet, a small village 20 kilometres from the Bageshwar district. After passing through remote areas such as Dhakuri, Dwali, and Phurkia, you will arrive at the trek's final destination, Zero Point. Trails leading to the glacier and through rhododendron forests traverse the southern wilderness of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary, providing spectacular views of peaks such as Panwali Dwar (6,683m) and Maiktoli (6,803m).
