गौमुख   गंगा नदी का उदगम स्थळ   धरती पर स्वर्ग।   यारत्र एवं ट्रैकर्स के लिए बहुत ही जना मन स्थान है गौमुख। चलिए आपको इस ब्लॉग के माध्यम से आज गौमुख की यात्रा करवाते हैं। प्राकर्तिक दृश्यों से   भरपूर मनन को मोह लेने वाला यह ट्रेक आपको और आपकी इस यात्रा को बहुत यागदर बना देगा।   यह पूरा मार्ग अद्भुत और अविस्मरणीय है।     यह यात्रा गंगोत्री से शरू होती है . गंगोत्री से करीब 18 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर आता है गौमुख ग्लेशियर जहाँ से गंगा नदी की शरुआत होती है। एक ग्लेशियर जहाँ से गंगा नदी निकलती है उसे गौमुख कहते हैं ऋषियों ने इसे ' गौमुख ' कहा , क्योंकि सुदूर अतीत में , यह संभवतः गाय के मुंह की तरह दिखाई देता था ; हालांकि आज यह ऐसा प्रतीत नहीं होता है। गौमुख ग्लेशियर भागीरथी ( गंगा ) का स्रोत है और उन श्रद्धालुओं द्वारा उच्च सम्मान में रखा जाता है जो अस्थि विसर्जन के लिए यहाँ आते हैं और   बर्फीले पानी में पवित्र डुबकी लगाने का अवसर नहीं च
